Sacrifice Limited Edition Print

£395.00

Sacrifice, a picture derived from the original Beyond Lies More painting shows Marcus demonstrating his trade mark finger pointing to the side of his head.

The perspective lines of Marcus all line up to the little boy’s ‘third eye’ reinforcing the gesture that anything can be achieved through positivity and clear thinking. Both Marcus and the little lad’s arm (young Marcus) direct the viewer to the bottom drawer because this is where his career began with the colours of his school club’s team, blue and yellow.

The poster top right is actually an old image of Wayne Rooney, a boyhood hero for Marcus, and so the artist has inserted him into the poster as his dream of being the next big star has now been realised.

‘You Are A Champion’, his first book sits on the chest of drawers next to Mum Mel, who can be seen in the framed picture.

FareShare, the food charity of which Marcus is an ambassador is displayed on the box which holds his trainers. This is an important painting showing that anything really is possible, this young lad from Wythenshawe who started in the bottom drawer and grew up with the support of his loving family, is now one of the world’s top footballers and with so much more still to come both on and off the pitch.

Originally painted in oils by Liverpool-born Artist, John Afllick, using traditional techniques of the Old Masters with a contemporary voice. Read more about the artist.

Framed size approx. 65cms x 85cms (26” x 34”).

Signed by the artist.
