Ben Nicolson was one of the most radical British artists of the twentieth century and has long been recognised as a leading advocate of the modern movement in Britain.

Along with his wife Barbara Hepworth they were recognised as the two leading Avant Garde artists, who moved to form an artist colony in St Ives, Cornwall, at the beginning of WWII.

We currently have Ben Nicholson prints in our collection from his work with French printmakers Atelier Mourlot and Swiss printmaker François Lafranca.
