Pablo Picasso was a School of Paris painter, sculptor, etcher, lithographer, ceramist and designer, who has had enormous influence on 20th century art and worked in an unprecedented variety of styles.
Picasso is most famous for his paintings, of course. However, the past decade, has seen a clear growth in the market for his prints, etchings, lithography and linocuts.
Picasso made prints throughout his career — his first in 1899, when he was still a teenager; his last in 1972, when he was 90. Experimenting all the while, he produced some 2,400 prints in total.
