Jo Cox

Jo Cox is an artist based in Staffordshire in the UK.

Holding a BA, Jo worked as a graphic designer and illustrator in Manchester through the 1980s and 90s before gaining an additional TESOL qualification which enabled her to explore and develop her painting style and technique in many other parts of the world.    

Employing vibrant use of colour and dynamic composition, her paintings aim to capture the energy, drama and beauty of stunning natural environments she has encountered while living and working in countries such as Greece, Malaysian Borneo and Indonesia. 

Increasingly her work focuses on the fragility of such habitats, reflecting the tenuous balance between what we have – and what is so very rapidly and easily lost.
